A Rhiwbina runner has received a special prize for finishing 400th!
Rachel Knight was the 400th runner home on yesterday’s (Sept 12) Cardiff parkrun. And, as it was the 400th Cardiff event, she was awarded a prize bottle, presented by race director Phil Cook.
Cardiff parkrun, which follows a course through Bute Park, is one of the most popular parkruns, regular attracting more than 600 runners. Parkrun is a timed 5k run, taking place at 9am each Saturday at venues around the UK and now overseas too.
This was Rachel’s 25th parkrun – she says parkrun is a great opportunity to meet other runners, burn some calories at the start of the weekend, all in a lovely, friendly atmosphere.
