Rhiwbina Rugby Football Club has said 'thank you' to its outgoing chairman, Ian Hall.
In the latest match programme, for Saturday's (30 March) game against St Joseph's, incoming chairman Richard Price, said Ian had been "a huge asset to the club for many years."
The theme of the programme was to show how important volunteers of all ages are to the club.
Richard wrote: "This will be the last home game for our long-time chairman Ian Hall", adding that he had fulfilled three roles - as a player, a supporter and volunteer, and now as a granddad of the next generation.
"He has been a huge asset to the club for many years, and we thank him for his time as a volunteer, and continue our thanks for being a key sponsor and supporter of the club going forward."
He added that Ian has underlined that he will still be around and looks forward to seeing supporters, old and young, next season.
After leading 12-3 at half-time, Rhiwbina narrowly lost Saturday's hard-fought WRU Division One East Central game 29-24.
As we reported last month, the club recently paid tribute to former player and long-time club servant, Alun Wynne.
