Rhiwbina restaurant named among best in Wales

A Rhiwbina restaurant has been named among the 50 best in Wales.

Mesen in Heol y Deri is the only North Cardiff restaurant in the list, compiled by Wales Online journalists.

"Opened in summer 2023, Mesen brought a slice of small plate paradise to the leafy Cardiff suburb of Rhiwbina," the article states.

"Inside, the menu is scrawled across a giant roll of brown paper pinned to the wall, and for good reason. With dishes changing constantly and cooked over a roaring charcoal fire, printing individual menus would be a bit of a faff."

It adds: "The menu is constantly evolving, but you’ll always find something to get excited about."
