Rhiwbina Football Club is back and looking for more children and adults to help create a thriving soccer community with teams at all age groups.
"The vision is to continue to grow and embed ourselves within Rhiwbina, providing local children with a safe and enjoyable environment to play the sport," said chairman Adam Dugdale.
"The plan is to have a team for each age group and a senior team eventually".
The club was relaunched in September 2023 with the creation of its first team, the under-6s, managed by Adam.
"As we start preparing for our second season, the club is growing with an under-11s team commencing," said Adam.
"We are looking to branch out to the community for new coaches and players to help set up additional age-group teams - we’ve had interest from children in both reception and year 2 age group.
"We’re on the cusp of having an under-7s girls team next season, as the girls are currently playing with the under-6 team I manage".
The club is affiliated with the South Wales Football Association with an aim to promote inclusive football opportunities.
Currently training at the all-weather Powerleague centre in Whitchurch, the club hopes to use Caedelyn Park when weather allows.
Anyone interested in getting involved, as a player, coach, or other capacity, should contact Adam at Rhiwbinafc2023@gmail.com or visit the Facebook page for more info.
