It wasn’t so long ago that the Olive Branch in Heol y Deri was the only place in Rhiwbina where you get a good cup of coffee and a piece of cake – now we are almost spoiled for choice!
Our ‘Eat and Drink’ directory shows the range of options for places to have a bite and a cuppa, and the list has grown in the past few months.
We’ve Tweeted enthusiastically about the recent revamp of The Olive Branch, with its new logo (by Rhiwbina’s own The Info Group), new look and new menu.
And the past few months have also seen the opening of Parson’s Bakery in Heol y Deri and The City Bakehouse in Thornhill Road, which specialises in gluten-free produce.
Jo Vincent of The City Bakehouse tells us: “This Thursday (Jan 16), we are hosting the ward surgery for Rhiwbina’s councillors from 4.30-6pm, and during February half term we are offering children’s afternoon tea from 3.30-4.30 for £6 per person to include a hot drink for the adult.” You can also hire The Bakehouse for private parties.
Enjoy your coffee, wherever you choose to buy it!
