CJCH Solicitors are teaming up with the European Law Firm of the Year to track down Lithuanian citizens in the UK and recover up to €2 million which courts have ordered them to pay.
Fast-growing CJCH, whose headquarters are in Cardiff, has signed a contract with Lithuanian firm Sorainen, recently named European Law Firm of the Year in The Lawyer European Awards, to jointly represent the interests of one of their Lithuanian clients to trace and identify the whereabouts and assets of up to 200 Lithuanian individuals in the UK.
CJCH, who also have offices in Barry and Bridgend, will use their specialist asset recovery and enforcement team to investigate each claim and identify the whereabouts of the individual against whom a Lithuanian court has already made judgement.
They will then proceed through the UK courts system to enforce the court’s ruling and recover assets.
“This is a fantastic endorsement of our expertise in this field,” said CJCH Solicitors senior partner Stephen Clarke. “Sorainen approached us to work with them on this because of our reputation, which is a real credit to our staff.
“It is a three-year contract and we anticipate the total amount of recovery could exceed €2 million.”
The tie-up with Sorainen is the latest extension of CJCH’s rapidly developing international business, which involves them working in partnership with many other international law firms across Europe, Asia and North America.
