Congratulations to Anna McMorrin, the new MP for Cardiff North.
Anna (Labour) gained 26,081 votes (50.1%), while the previous MP Craig Williams (Conservative) gained 21,907 (42.1%).
There was an 11.9% increase in the Labour vote and a 0.3% fall in the Conservative vote.

We don’t usually get into political analysis – we leave that to our friends My Cardiff North. But we note that the Conservative, Plaid Cymru, and Liberal Democrat candidates all followed us on Twitter. The winning Labour candidate didn’t.
Was following us their big mistake? Were they distracted by our Tweets about bins and events. 🙂 We hope not!
